Franco-American hearing biotechnology company. Developer of CIL001, an intratympanic injection targeting cochlear synaptopathy, licensed from Sanofi in 2020. It is preparing its first human interventional program for CIL001, three Phase 1b/2a trials (type 2 diabetes, chronic tinnitus in the US, and mild cognitive impairment), with the diabetes and tinnitus trials hoped to start in 2026 and MCI following sequentially. Shionogi holds a 2024 option agreement to license global rights pending Phase 2a data.
