How it works
Lenire is a CE-marked device, developed by Neuromod Devices (Dublin), that pairs an audio tone with a mild electrical pulse delivered to the tongue. It applies the same broad bimodal auditory-somatosensory concept as Susan Shore's DCN-targeted device, but is a distinct commercial device and research lineage, developed independently, using the tongue rather than the neck/hand, and without the same published stimulus-timing-dependent-plasticity data. Evaluated across the multi-stage TENT trial program and several follow-on usability/biomarker studies.
