Vulnerability vs. Resilience

What is it?

After the same noise exposure, nearly all animals initially lose Kv7.2/3 channel activity, but only those that fail to restore it within about a week develop tinnitus; animals that recover the channel's function become resilient instead, revealing individual differences in outcome from an identical injury.
