Fusiform Cell Hypersynchrony

What is it?

Increased spontaneous firing and cross-unit synchrony among dorsal cochlear nucleus fusiform cells, seen only in animals that go on to develop tinnitus after equivalent cochlear damage, the proposed neural 'code' that gets misread as a phantom sound.
