Auditory-Somatosensory Integration

What is it?

Fusiform cells in the dorsal cochlear nucleus combine auditory-nerve input from the cochlea with somatosensory input from the head and neck. Maladaptive integration of these two streams is proposed to tip the circuit into hypersynchrony.
